Richard Marchant walked up Thornthwaite Crag during August, 1989 [from/via/route] This was a two day trip with an overnight camp on top of High Street. The route took me from Penrith along High Street the old Roman Road to Windermere via the following Wainwrights. Loadpot Hill, Whether Hill, High Raise, Rampsgill Head, High Street, Thornthwaite Crag, Froswick, Ill Bell, Yoke and Sour Howes. [with] On my own for this trip [weather] Dry and fine weather but extremely windy overnight to a point that I thought my tent was going to be blown away, but alas it survived.

Kevin Foster climbed Thornthwaite Crag on May 28th, 2019 [from/via/route] Stony Cove Pike. [with] Henry. [weather] Sunny and hot becoming cloudier later on with a cold northerly breeze. - Lying unsuspected below the summit of Stony Cove Pike are the crags of Threshwaite Cove. There is a very steep and rocky descent here which me and Henry took slowly and with some care. Having descended all that way to Threshwaite Mouth we then had to scramble all the way back up to reach the 14 foot high summit beacon of Thornthwaite Crag. This is another fine top with wonderful views southwards.

Elaine Evans bagged Thornthwaite Crag on May 2nd, 2019 [from/via/route] From car park at Hartsop, ascended steeply up to Hartsop Dodd, continued to Stony Cove Pike, followed path and descended to cull then up to Thornthwaite Crag and on to Gray Crag before returning to Hartsop. Similar route to c231. [with] Sue [weather] Mostly dry, warm in some places but also a welcome cool breeze at times. Rained for last 10 minutes of walk but still quite pleasant. - Missed you CJ! One of our best walks, helped enormously be the favourable weather conditions and clear visibility.

Nick Dobson hiked Thornthwaite Crag on July 23rd, 2018 [from/via/route] Hartsop up through Threshwaite [with] Margaret & Ralph [weather] Overcast, cloudy and persistent drizzle - Had lunch under the beacon sat against the wall with no visible views, before heading over to Gray Crag.

Liz Sheerin summited Thornthwaite Crag on May 25th, 2018 [from/via/route] Kentmere [with] Neil

Craig Steeland conquered Thornthwaite Crag on August 4th, 2018 [from/via/route] From Limefitt bus stop in Troutbeck [with] With Sue [weather] Warm and partly cloudy with excellent visibility

Claire Oliver has scaled Thornthwaite Crag [from/via/route] Start from Kentmere GR 456041 (Limited Parking by the church) [with] Storm, Ray and I [weather] Wet then very wet conditions. Few views, low cloud. Shame as a lovely walk and deserving of a better weather day!

Julian Parry walked up Thornthwaite Crag on April 5th, 2018 [from/via/route] C231 [with] Nuno Malo

Christina Lander climbed Thornthwaite Crag on June 3rd, 2018 [from/via/route] Kentmere Horseshoe: Kentmere Village - Garburn Pass - Yoke - Ill Bell - Froswick - Thornthwaite Crag - High Street - Mardale Ill Bell - Harter Fell - Kentmere Pike - Shipman Knotts - Kentmere Village [with] Dick [weather] Dry day and very still with high cloud

Wayne Baxter bagged Thornthwaite Crag on April 25th, 2018 [from/via/route] Hartsop Cow Bridge car park to Hartsop Dodd, Caudale Moor (Stony Cove Pike), Thornthwaite Crag, Gray Crag back to Cow Bridge car park [with] Sue [weather] Cloudy with a few very heavy down falls
