Cloud inversion on the top of Skiddaw which was cloud free. - Even in mist the ascent up the 'super highway' path, to the summit ridge of Skiddaw from Little Man, was straightforward. The cloud that had ruined the view all the way up from Lonscale Fell finally lifted as I reached the massive cairn marking the southern end of the summit ridge. The next half an hour taking in the spectacular views in every direction (except south where the cloud still lingered) was to say the least magical.
