Christine Shepherd bagged on August 18th, 1997 [from/via/route] Keswick [with] My husband Peter [weather] Very sunny in the valley but misty & damp from about 1,500ft. - We reached the summit after skidding & sliding on wet slate. There was nothing to see until we broke through the cloud on the way down to see a wonderful rainbow & a buzzard spreading his wings in front of us. Fantastic! Climbed Skiddaw again 12.5.08 in bright sunshine so that I could enjoy the view. On 22.5.12 I used walk c248 to reach the summit in hazy sunshine. Climbed again using walk c186 on 30.06.21 with Jenny. And again on 18.1.2022.

Richard Fulcher summited on July 31st, 2021 [from/via/route] Jen dropped me at the Gale Road car park & I started off along the Cumbria Way around Lonscale Fell. I ascended up on the edge of Lonscale Crags to Lonscale Fell & then walked over Jenkin Hill to Little Man. From there I joined the main route up to Skiddaw & over the other side to Bakestall. I descended via Birkett Edge & then followed the Cumbria Way route down to Peter House Farm. I walked down the road to Walk Mill Bridge where Jen picked me up. [weather] Low cloud but otherwise reasonable weather. - The initial climb up Lonscale was tough (unfit!) but the other climbs were separated by easier sections.

Richard Beardsley conquered on August 24th, 2021 [from/via/route] Started from our holiday accommodation in Keswick, 2 doors away from the Wainwright pub. [with] Myself, Paula, Andy and Dylan. [weather] Mild early morning, sunny but cloudy on Skiddaw summit. - An early morning start, (0600hrs), from Keswick town centre up Spoonygreen Lane & the normal touristy route to the summit of Skiddaw. Kevin Foster hiked on March 30th, 2021 [from/via/route] Little Man. [with] By myself. [weather] Sunny to start then ascending into cloud. Cloud inversion on the top of Skiddaw which was cloud free. - Even in mist the ascent up the 'super highway' path, to the summit ridge of Skiddaw from Little Man, was straightforward. The cloud that had ruined the view all the way up from Lonscale Fell finally lifted as I reached the massive cairn marking the southern end of the summit ridge. The next half an hour taking in the spectacular views in every direction (except south where the cloud still lingered) was to say the least magical. Numerous photos later I reluctantly retraced my steps & started the return descent to Little Man.
