Luisa Mena has walked up Red Pike (Wasdale) [from/via/route] Wasdale Head [with] Alone [weather] A bit of rain & wonderful - I have climbed Scafell Pike I started at 6.30 am on Saturday 15/8 & finished at 12. I would have done it in less had I not got lost descending. I started from Wasdale Head. At the summit it was very cold, cloudy a bit wet & windy, enough time to ask a young man to take my photograph & off I went. The descent was a bit tricky as I got lost & ended up not following a path at all. Got to the Wasdale Inn in the end. Then I went on to climb Snowden. Having successfully accomplished the LWW a few weeks earlier, I feel an enormous sense of achievement. I am now ready to face my fifties. Hip, Hip, Hurray
