John Bryers hiked on July 18th, 2020 [from/via/route] Parked car in layby close to Swan Hotel on Grasmere to Keswick road. Walked back to Grasmere and on to Rydal Hall via coffin route and TA route. Up front of Nab Scar to reach the top. We then walked up to Heron Pike and down to Alcock Tarn (Lunch overlooking tarn) back to car on southern path. [with] With Mya my faithful 13 year old Patterdale Terrier, David, Janine, Briony, Freya Gray and Jazz. [weather] Very close and warm. Cooler on the tops with some light winds. - Janine arrived without boots! Went with Briony into Ambleside to buy some. They caught us up in Rydal to continue walk up Nab Scar.
