Kevin Foster climbed on November 27th, 2020 [from/via/route] High Side. [with] Henry. [weather] Cloudy. - By starting in the small lay-by near High Side farm it gives you a superb approach to the Ullock Pike ridge walking up the secluded valley of Southerndale. Ullock Pike itself has a false summit when seen from below. the true summit is only seen when the false one has been reached. After this the gradient eases and you reach the slender top of Long Side edge after a matter of minutes. There are superb aerial views of Bassenthwaite Lake for most of the climb along the long ridge. Fantastic!
