John Tippins walked up Lingmell on May 2nd, 2023 [from/via/route] From Wast Water [with] Alone [weather] Mild, blowy - a bit more windy than forecast. Complete cloud cover with occasional signs of sunshine. Dry all day. Higher summits shrouded in cloud.

Tim Winn climbed Lingmell on September 9th, 2022 [from/via/route] Seathwaite [with] Mountain Guided Walks [weather] Cloud & heavy rain.

Richard Marchant bagged Lingmell on June 2nd, 2022 [from/via/route] Early start from Seathwaite up to Stockley Bridge & up through Grains Gill to Esk House then behind Great End & on to Broad Crag then Scafell Pike. Down to Lingmell Col & up on to Lingmel, then back to the Col & along the Corridor Route to Sty Head then down Styhead Gill to Stockley Bridge & back to the car. [with] with my son James [weather] Dry Day & a bit overcast in the morning although it did become sunny & clear in the afternoon.

Richard Beardsley hiked Lingmell on June 2nd, 2022 [from/via/route] Used route C233. [with] Myself, Paula, Andy and Dylan. [weather] Nice fine day with some cloud but not too hot. - Parked at the NT car park, (probably got one of the last spaces) & commenced hiking at 0920hrs. Followed the crowd up towards Scafell Pike but veered off left to summit Lingmell first. Rejoined main path & summited Scafell Pike. After our sandwiches it was off west, descending rocky ground, to roughly follow the suggested route. Eventually summited Sca Fell. Then it was the 5km downward slog back to the car park arriving there at 1710hrs. Total time taken - 7hrs 40mins. Shattered but thoroughly enjoyable.

Kevin Foster summited Lingmell on May 19th, 2022 [from/via/route] National Trust car park, Brackenclose, Wasdale Head. [with] By myself. [weather] Early cloud on Scafells lifting by midday then sunny. - Great views of the Scafells on the ascent & a great viewpoint for Gable, Kirk Fell, Pillar & looking down into the upper reaches of Piers Gill.

Tony Halliday walked up Lingmell on October 6th, 2021 [from/via/route] Circular walk started in Wasdale camp site climbed scarfell pike then cut across climbed lingmell & descended via the lingmell footpath back into Wasdale [with] Sally Halliday and Jimmy boo and George our 3 dogs [weather] The weather was perfect sunny light cool breeze with perfect clear views no rain & no wind - Great walk our dogs were fine with terrain spectacular views not too busy as it was midweek if you are climbing scarfell lingmell is a must ! We descended the lingmell foot path & had the whole mountain to ourselves also saw F15 fighter jets flying between the mountains training exercise

Wayne Baxter hiked Lingmell on July 13th, 2021 [from/via/route] Walked from Wasdale Head Hotel climed up brown tongue to the junction of Lingmell & Scafell Pike. Due to the amount of cloud & other walks we decisioned to go to Lingmell first then onto Scafell Pike, we return on the same path. It work as we got to the top of Scafell Pike the cloud lifted & the sun broke through [with] Sue [weather] Cloudy with the odd sunny spell - Not a pleasant walk to many walkers

Christine Shepherd summited Lingmell on April 26th, 2008 [from/via/route] Wasdale [with] On my own [weather] Very hot. - The conditions were dreadful; driving wind & heavy rain. I reached the summit cairn & came down. Climbed again 1.9.10 when I went on to look at the view of Gable from the tall cairn.

John Fenwick conquered Lingmell on October 11th, 2020 [from/via/route] Walked from Wasdale head inn carpark. Used walk c197 [with] Romany [weather] Sunny with some clouds. Great visibility - Stuck to walk as recommended. Easy to follow. Great way to avoid the crowds going up Scarfell Pike.

I went up Lingmell whilst Jen waited in the col shielding herself from the wind. We both then slowly hiked up to the top of Scafell Pike, getting blown off course every few steps by a strong gust of wind. Trying getting up & down. About 10 to 20 people at the top. We abandoned the idea of walking to Great End & back by Sty Head & just returned via the main path to the Wasdale Head Inn.
