[weather] High thin cloud cover with a fresh Easterly breeze (making long distance views quite hazy & a bit nippy on top). - Remarkably I had never visited Kinder Scout before today but this walk, a kind of 'Best of Kinder', certainly made up for lost time. The actual top marked by a small pile of stones is a bit arbitrary & is some 50 yards or so west of point 636. At only 3 metres lower the OS trig point on Kinder Low makes a far more fitting summit.
