[weather] Very sunny and very hot. - After the steep and stony descent off Sand Hill it was a pleasant respite to cross the grassy Coledale Hause to sit by the lovely waterfalls of Gasgale Gill. From here the path steepens but then eases and skirts the top of crags (and gullies) dropping steeply away. From the last gully it is only a short walk south-west to the well constructed wind shelter. Continuing a little further south-west brings into view a superb panorama of Buttermere and Crummock Water down below surrounded by high mountains. Looking towards the coast, the Isle of Man was seen clearly jutting out of the North Sea. Fantastic!
