Walked along road to just north of Grange bridge & then turned left & climbed up through the delightful Cummacatta Wood to King's How. After sandwiches we walked across to Brund Fell & then descended to Frith Wood, walking back a short way via a difficult path parallel to the road. We then walked along the road into Grange for tea & scones. [with] Jen [weather] A glorious day for walking, beautiful blue skies with fluffy clouds. Lovely views. - Next time I'd like to go up via Troutdale.

Kevan Cassley summited Grange Fell (Brund Fell) on July 26th, 2020 [from/via/route] Great Crag, Grange Fell (Brund Fell) & Kings How from Rosthwaite [with] wife Amanda & daughter India plus dog Bentley [weather] Mainly rain & heavy showers but some dry spells, visibility good - Would have been better in dry as not a fan of the anti-erosion stone steps especially on descent through the woods at Brock Bield which were exceptionally slippy in wet (a few falls) but fantastic summit views that are hard to beat.

Richard Marchant climbed Grange Fell (Brund Fell) on August 30th, 2019 [from/via/route] We parked the car at the NT car park just off the B5289 near Quayfoot Quarry. We took the path out of the car park to Long Crag then ascended Brock Bield to Long Moss & eventually on to King's How. From there we followed the path down & across to Grange Fell. We then descended down to Rosthwaite & got on to the Cumbria Way & left it to ascend Castle Grag. Once we ascended Castle Crag we returned to the Cumbria Way & followed it to Grange & then on to the B5289 & back to the car. [with] My old friend from Sunderland Ray [weather] Bit of a light breeze but constant rain all day long. Cloud level was at about 650m - Ray did well to complete this walk, but on a serious note he needs to go to his GP & get a health check.
