Walked from St Peters Church to Christy Bridge then along the ridge to Beda Head, carried on South from there to Angletarn Pikes,(2 pikes) then heading North Again & upto Place Fell. Down & up took us to High Dodd then down to Sandwick & into Hallinhag Wood. We finally climbed through the ferns to reachHallin Fell. [with] Richard MaCillwaine. [weather] Cloud increasing as the morning progressed ending up foggy & drissly on Place fell, then clearing as we reduced height. - Last of the fells completed in the Far East section.

Slight variations up to Brock Crags & the Nab. Nab very boggy in places. Stags & Bucks mating calls in valley. Parked at Church at the Coombs below Hallin Hill. Stayed at Waterside Campsite.

Richard Marchant hiked Beda Head (Beda Fell) on December 21st, 2021 [from/via/route] Started the walk St Peter's Church in Martindale along Hallin Bank to Bridge End then climbed Sleet Fell to Low Moss on to Hart Crag & Place Fell. Then followed Steel Edge to Boredale House & up Stony Rigg to Angletarn Pikes. From here it was basically a ridge walk along Beda Fell & eventually to Beda Head. From here I dropped down to Christy Bridge & road back to the car at St Peter's Church. Then a quick up & back on Hallin Fell. [with] Solo [weather] Low level cloud down to 650m a very cold day but stayed dry although overcast all day.

Rest Dodd is a good climb but the top appeared sooner than expected, the walk to The Nab was very boggy, it must be really bad in wetter weather. Cheated by coming down a small path off The Nab to Christy Bridge.
