Richard Marchant climbed Baystones (Wansfell) during January, 1992 [from/via/route] A day walk with my good friends Nick and Wendy Harker. This was a chilly Sunday walk starting from Ambleside and taking us straight up Wansfell which was very icy under foot and eventually carrying on to Troutbeck and following a good path south of Wansfell to a great view point on Jenkins Crag and then back in to Ambleside. [with] My Best Man Nick Harker and his wife Wendy [weather] From what I can remember it was a very cold icy day but a fine day.

Richard Beardsley bagged Baystones (Wansfell) on June 5th, 2019 [from/via/route] Walked route C177. Parked at Rydal car park, Ambleside (£7). Commenced walk at 1100hrs. and arrived back at 1515hrs. [with] Gillian. [weather] Drizzly and overcast all day. - Because of the low cloud views were limited at height. Boggy in places but still an enjoyable walk.

David Battersby summited Baystones (Wansfell) on February 10th, 2019 [from/via/route] Parked at the public car park on Rydal Road in Ambleside. Headed towards the fell via Stockghyll Park, Stockghyll force and then to the fell. Walked up the fell to Wansfell Pike and then on to the true Wainwright summit of Baystones. [with] All the family. [weather] Dry, fairly sunny, cold breeze on the summit.
