Jeff Stott bagged Buckden Pike on August 26th, 2021 [from/via/route] Buckden waterfall's [with] Shell [weather] Nice - Tough but great. A lot of effort, wasn't prepared for su (sunburn). Lots of boggy parts, turned knee going up near lead mine. Attacked by cow near end. Shell struggled. But achieved a fantastic completion. Hard route.

Kevin Foster climbed Buckden Pike on July 27th, 2017 [from/via/route] Buckden [with] Just me and my labrador Henry [weather] Light rain turning heavier for a while then clearing out by mid-afternoon then sunny. - This was actually my third visit to Buckden Pike this year & certainly the wettest! Previous visits had been from Starbotton via the Walden 'road' & a full length excursion up Waldendale from West Burton. Today was by the more 'traditional' route of Buckden Rake. I set off with high hopes after checking the forecast on the MWIS. The light rain would pass or so I thought. About half way up the weather took a turn for the worst & became a heavy downpour & the cloud dropped in. This wasn't in the forecast? Anyway, I didn't hang about at the summit & carried on through very soggy conditions to the Polish Memorial & on to the Walden 'road' & my escape route. I will be back though maybe to try the waterfalls & scrambling up Buckden Ghyll. I didn't fancy it today because I had Henry with me.

Iain Cocks bagged Buckden Pike on August 5th, 2017 [from/via/route] Buckden [with] Paul Smith, Dave Slater [weather] Wind & torrential rain - Wet to the skin
