Caroline Winter walked up Knott (Uldale Fells) on April 17th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked in pull in below Peter House Farm, well laid path towards Black Nettle Hause,divert off Cumbria Way & follow fence line up Little Calva, then Great Calva, back tracked to head northerly to Knott, returned via Meal Fell, bypassed Great Cockup, Horsemoor Hills, B road to car [with] Becky [weather] Warm & humid, getting windy on top. - Great views to back of Skiddaw & to see views of less frequented Fells; hence not being on OS Explorer map. Seemed a long, but pleasant walk out along Horsemoor Hills
Richard Marchant climbed Knott (Uldale Fells) on May 8th, 2022 [from/via/route] Parked at Green Head & walked up a track SW to Charleton Wath & then changed direction across the fell ascending Brae Fell. From here carried on up on to Great Sca Fell then proceeded on an up & back trip to Knott. Once back at Great Sca Fell I dropped down & up on to Meal Fell & onwards to Great Cockup. I then proceeded back on the same path I came but took a path south around Meal Fell & circled around to Lowthwaite Fell & on to Longland Fell & back to the car. [with] On my Own [weather] Dry Day & a bit overcast in the morning although it did become sunny & clear in the afternoon.
Kate Peacock bagged Knott (Uldale Fells) on April 16th, 2022 [from/via/route] Dropped at Mosedale, collected at the bottom of Longlands Fell. We walked up the steep side of Carrock Fell. [with] Me & Sheila [weather] No rain. Winds were increasing at the beginning but dropped at the end. Fair day. Gloves & coat for the top. - The ascent up Carrock Fell was interesting. Thankfully nobody was there to want to be passed. Steep & narrow & fortunately dry otherwise I'm not sure my feet would have been as secure at points. Just beat to get up it, couldn't really hand around. Tops were as expected but quite boggy in parts. First time I've seen a bothy
