Fellow go4awalkers who have already walked, climbed, summited & bagged Kentmere Pike
Andy Buxton walked up on November 1st, 1990 [from/via/route] Garburn Pass from Kentmere. Yoke, Ill Bell, Froswick, Thornthwaite Crag, Mardale Ill Bell, Harter Fell, Kentmere Pike, Shipman Knotts [with] Solo [weather] Cold, clear autumn day - Very enjoyable circuit of Kentmere.
Christine Shepherd climbed on March 15th, 2009 [from/via/route] I walked from Stockdale using walk c204 'The Longsleddale Horizon' [with] On my own [weather] Dry but rather overcast. - Climbed again using the same route in similar conditions on 16.7.20
Nick Dobson bagged on June 7th, 2020 [from/via/route] Millriggs nr Kentmere along the Stile End / Sadgill pass over Shipman Knotts before continuing along the ridge route. [with] Margaret and Ralph [weather] Bright and clear & sunny with some gusty winds on the tops. - Number 151 completed (Our first Wainwright outing since the weekend before lockdown for the coronavirus pandemic started) we left the fell via the Hallow Bank descent before driving back to the North East still unable to stay overnight in our caravan.
Andrew Johnson hiked on October 29th, 2019 [from/via/route] Kentmere [with] Ted [weather] Sunny
Phillip Bulley summited on June 10th, 2019 [from/via/route] Via Shipman Knotts. [with] Ruby. [weather] Sunny and warm.
Kevin Foster conquered on April 28th, 2019 [from/via/route] Harter Fell. [with] Henry. [weather] Clouds but with sunny breaks and clear visibility. Very warm when the sun was out. - The final third of the Kentmere round, after Harter Fell, has always felt a lot gentler than the first two thirds mainly because it's largely down hill and over grass. Kentmere pike is an easy short ascent from the col and is another great view point to look back at the rest of the Kentmere horseshoe.
Wayne Baxter scaled on April 8th, 2019 [from/via/route] Kentmere Horseshoe, 7 peaks. Yoke, III Bell, Froswick, Mardale II Bell, Harter Bell, Kentmere Pike & Shipman Knotts. [with] Sue [weather] Sunny to start the walk but low cloudy for Mardale peak - What a great walk
Liz Sheerin walked up on May 25th, 2018 [from/via/route] Kentmere [with] Neil
Elaine Evans climbed on January 17th, 2019 [from/via/route] From Kentmere village, up to Shipman Knotts via Wray Crag, then on to Kentmere Pike, descended to Hallow Bank and returned to the village via Low Lane. [with] Sue and Christine [weather] Beautiful blue skies and sunshine but a bitterly cold wind. - A bit slippery underfoot in parts but, on a positive note, the frost made the areas of boggy ground hard and easier to cross.
Paul Macey has bagged [from/via/route] From Brothers Water using walks c251 and c204
