Other walkers who hiked, climbed, bagged and summited Carl Side Fellow go4awalkers who have already walked, climbed, summited & bagged Carl Side

Claire Murray walked up on February 28th, 2021 [from/via/route] Dodd Wood, Ullock Pike, Long Side, Carl Side and Skiddaw. [with] Vitor [weather] So sunny! - Lovely walk, hard going uphill but definitely worth it

Kevin Foster climbed on November 27th, 2020 [from/via/route] Long Side. [with] Henry. [weather] Cloudy> - Unfortunately after reaching the summit of Long Side the cloud dropped and visibility became zero. The day's walking plan had been to do Skiddaw's various tops after Carl Side and drop down off Bakestall but with the cloud down below Carl Side now there didn't seem much point. So after bagging Carl Side I headed down the obvious path SW and then did a 180 degree turn into Dodd wood to bag Dodd. Although disappointed not to do Skiddaw that day I still enjoyed the bonus of doing Dodd and Dodd wood even though it was a long walk back to the car. Annoyingly as I reached Dodd wood the cloud lifted again certainly higher than Skiddaw Little Man if not the summit of Skiddaw itself. Oh well there's always another day!

John Hanlon bagged on September 17th, 2020 [from/via/route] Hotel- Borrowdale Gates Hotel, walk started from Old Sawmill tea room [with] solo [weather] Sunny - 4 Wainwright loop 3 of 4

Geoffrey Robertshaw hiked on September 14th, 2020 [from/via/route] Up from Sawmill Tea room [with] Wife [weather] Great - Great Views at the top

Andrew Douthwaite summited on June 14th, 2020 [from/via/route] c315 [weather] Mostly Sunny - Quite busy coming out of lockdown

Michael Nolan conquered on February 4th, 2020 [with] Morag [weather] dry cold

Stephen Batson scaled on February 14th, 2017 [with] Clare [weather] Very Windy, Snow

Christopher Payne walked up on November 16th, 2019 [from/via/route] From the old sawmill tea cafe va Ullock peak [with] Claire horton [weather] Rain, misty

Richard Beardsley climbed on October 2nd, 2019 [from/via/route] Route C315 starting from the Ravenstone Hotel [weather] Clear, fine and sunny throughout. - Got dropped off at the Ravenstone Hotel and commenced walk from there at 0950hrs. Did not proceed to point 2 on the suggested route but instead took short cut as shown on the diagram. Rest of the route was followed rigidly. Arrived back at the hotel at 1320hrs. Thoroughly enjoyable day. Other walkers present also making the most of the weather.

Sarah Mattock bagged on August 25th, 2019 [with] Sarah, Ian, Polly, Mikey and Maggie [weather] Sunny and red hot - Nearly kill Maggie in the heat 😱
