[with] 12 year old daughter [weather] very misty in the morning, clearing at 8am, missly with little visibility on steep climb then glorious sun after our stop at the café - could see to the coast from the summit. Magical day. - My daughter said: lets climb a mountain. We had one day and one night available towards the end of August. we drove to Snowdonia from Oxfordshire way, picking up mountain map en route. Stayed for the first time in the fabulous youth hostel. It had been raining the entire summer and too misty all week on Snowdon for novices, or anyone, really. We set out expecting to have to turn back. But didn't. Arrived at top able to just about see our hands in front of our faces. Came out of café to totally clear and sunny day. Incredible. Decided to do 3 peak challenge over next summer holidays...
