In-use Test:

I've been wearing this as part of a layering system during the UK Autumn for a variety of hill walking in the Peak District. The weather has been often wet and windy and occasionally bright but cold. I've also tried this out a few times on extremely cold and windy golf driving ranges (a new hobby!) in Cheshire.

This base layer is true to fit (I was wearing M/M) - close fitting with a good sleeve length. I do try to avoid pure merino wool as it does tend to irritate my neck. However, this 2-layer construction with LIFA® seemed to deal with this and I was perfectly comfortable.

I've certainly been warm and comfortable - this fabric combination is beautifully insulating and wicks moisture away very effectively. The close fitting hood is also a welcome addition when those winds blow!

Moreover, there was pretty well no odour retained in the fabric even after I'd worn it on several days.

Buying Advice:

Certainly not cheap, but an excellent investment that will serve well on colder days throughout the year.
