A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

Looking to walk with like-minded female walkers, between ages of 30-60 approx, and who would like cheerful company on a walk. I am a Male Walker, in my late 60s, based near Wallasey hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I'm Dave and I live on the Wirral and generally walk in North Wales, the Northern fells (Yorkshire & Cumbria) and Scotland. I completed the Munros a few years ago and am slowly working my way through some other hill lists. I head up to Scotland regularly and am keen on exploring the many Scottish islands.

Happy to do low level walks, but prefer to gain some height for the views and exercise. Fairly fit and like to keep a steady pace, stopping to look at the scenery and wildlife. I do a lot of driving so don't mind traveling to meet up for walks.

Retired so can walk on any day of the week especially if the weather is good,but do spend some time on other hobbies like DIY, cooking and rock climbing.

Good sense of direction and generally can navigate reliably.
Easy going with a sense of humour and enjoy conversation. Like to visit a pub afterwards for a drink. If you are interesting in joining me then please get in touch.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Lancaster hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I lived just outside the Lake District for over thirty years and walked the fells quite a lot there. I am now based in Lancaster, following retirement and would love to get to know Lancashire better. During lockdown (1) I bought an e bike and and have enjoyed exploring both the coast and the Forest and Trough of Bowland, my longest ride so far is about 75km.

As I am now retired I am free to walk in the week as well as at weekends. Most of the walking I have done is probably in the Lakes although I have friends with a base in Huddersfield and enjoy the Yorkshire moors. Recently returned from a family holiday in the Peak District I also discovered the wonderful landscape of north Staffs and Derbys where I enjoyed several good walks, taking in a couple of Peaks.

In 2019 I was lucky to be able to walk in the Andes whilst visiting family in Colombia, I have also walked in the Peruvian Andes when visiting Machu Picchu. In Europe I walked the Lycian Way in Turkey.

I do prefer walking in company, although not really a fan of large groups and am happy to walk with either male or female companions.
I consider myself reasonably fit but do see walking as a pleasurable activity, as opposed to a 'route march'.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near West Yorkshire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi all,

I'm a late-forties male, and I would like to meet a new female walking partner and also friends either male or female. Time spent walking and enjoying our wonderful countryside just being outdoors is even better with the right person.

I enjoy all forms of walking, multi-day, long distance paths and less strenuous steady day walks too. Oddly enough my walks usually end at a nice country pub or two! Can't think why...There is nothing nicer than a lovely pub at the end of a great days walking.
I'm experienced at map reading and navigating and I enjoy the planning of walks on both traditional paper maps and also using GPS.
Sometimes I'll take a lightweight tent and camp and make it an outdoors weekend or stay in a B&B when exploring new areas.
My 'bread and butter' walking area is Yorkshire but I'm equally happy anywhere in the countryside.

I work part-time; so I've some availability on a weekday and also some weekends too. If you want a partner or friend to walk with who won't get you lost (I promise!) and has a good sense of humour, that could be me! Please do drop me a line..

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Salisbury hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I'm Al, a male walker hoping to meet a female walking companion. I've been into sport all my life, team sports, the gym, running and now walking. I'm getting back into fitness with jogs/walks in the woods and back in the gym and I would to get back to day long walks in the hills and Dales. I work a 4 day week at the moment but go part time in September '22 so can walk during the week and at weekends. I would like to start with a stroll around town and lunch or whatever and then build up to longer walks but I appreciate that it would take time to build the confidence to walk with a man in the woods or the hills. I'm flexible and more than willing to compromise. Ideally I would like to meet an independent lady who takes an interest in the world around her and is happy to discuss and debate her own opinions. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 70s, based near Ightham hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hello, my name is Cliff. I'm slim, fit and active - looking for a female walking companion. I live in a village close to Sevenoaks/Tonbridge. I am divorced, ready to move on and have outdoor interests including clay pigeon shooting. I've been walking for some time with a Wednesday group but would like to walk more than once a week. I've been semi-retired for a while and am interested in most sports. Would prefer to walk locally to begin with. Please get in touch if you would like to know more - there's lots to talk about. Thank you !

A bit more about me:

I quite enjoy Scrambling & Edges but don't like too much exposure. I'm happy to walk in all weathers - sunshine, snow, hail, wind & rain - bring it on. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

By putting my profile on here I am hoping to meet someone special.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Blackpool hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, my name is Peter,I,m looking for some female company to share the great outdoors with, happy to go at short notice, love nice weather and try to get out when it's nice but happy in any weather, normally I go to the lake District with my son so would be nice to have some female company to enjoy with on my own or with my son and I, would be happy if anyone has children that want to go as my son who is autistic is also looking to make new friends rather than his boring dad😁I,m free at weekends and sometimes during the week, don't have any friends that share my love for the great outdoors so please message me if you need a hiking camping buddy. Thanks from Peter

A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I like walking with dogs but do not have one of my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Peak Bagging - where the aim is to climb all the hills or mountains on a particular list such as 'bagging' all the Wainwrights or Munros;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Female Walker, in my early 40s, based near Windsor hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hey fellow walkers, my name is Gig and I was searching for female walking buddies or a mixed group and came across this page full of interesting folks. I'm keen to get out and explore more of our great British countryside (also open to urban walks). My fitness level took a hit during the pandemic so I'm currently trying to re-build and want to be able to tackle some challenging terrain by the end of this year. For now I can manage long leisurely walks but I'm sure I can manage a few hills along the way! Also, if anyone is into cycling then I'd love to join them and put my mountain bike to some use as I can hear it crying out for mileage (preferably off road).

I work during the weekday so have flexibility most weekends to get out and about. I look forward to connecting with you.

I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 40s, based near Rotherham hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I am looking to meet people who own boots and wellies and don't mind getting them covered in mud. I am happy to meet people of any age who shared a love of the outdoors and doesn't mind me stopping from time to time to take photographs.

The Peak District is on my doorstep, but have walked in areas including Wales, the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District, Assynt in Scotland. I have been up Ben Nevis, Snowdon, and Scafell Pike, but would happily walk there again.

I have done the three peaks in the Yorkshire Dales but over a couple of days.

I work full time in a college, but school holidays and weekends I am free. Evening walks are possible if they are local.

My level of fitness is good and improving, though that is a story to share during a walk.

I am a life member of English Heritage and the National Trust. As such I can visit such places with a guest. I love photography, history, wildlife etc. I would rather not talk about education or computing (Unless its for a good cause).

My walking aims are to look at amazing views, Camp in amazing places including a plot of land I can wild camp on in Scotland, and just enjoy it all.

If you are cold, wet, have been rained on all day and can still smile then anything is possible.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Lytham St Annes.

My Message: Hi,

I've been a member now for quite a while but not used the site for ages so the time has come to dust off my walking boots and get back climbing, I've just done the Great North Run in 2hrs 14mins so not completely unfit.

Please get in touch if anyone is out there wanting a slowish companion.

I'm free most weekends and don't mind any weather conditions.

Thanks Linda

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Wakefield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: My absolute best place to be is outdoors walking the hills, dales, valleys... feeling freeee and being amongst the natural world. I've enjoyed walking for many years, and although never been a big mountaineer, over the years I have found myself drawn to these dramatic landscapes (Skye, The Hebrides, Glencoe, Scotland, The Lakes). I am equally besotted with the other end of the UK being fortunate enough to have lived in the south west region for just over a couple of years and was absolutely blown away by the coast walking. (I'm also happy to have an amble locally too).
I'm preety flexible on when and where I can walk and kinda fit ish (I think). My usual distance is between 6-8 miles. Whilst I have never learned the skill of map reading I do have several walking books which line my book shelf to support the maps !
So if you fancy doing some post lockdown walks and sharing a sarni and a flask en route it would be good to hear from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Huddersfield hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I have a good set of friends but unfortunately, none of them shares my interest in the outdoors. So it would be great to find someone to walk with and maybe even share a drink after.

I tend to walk in the Yorkshire area and sometimes the lakes but don't mind travelling outside of my usual walks. I don't have a particular preference, I am up for pretty much anything as long as I am in the beautiful outdoors.

I also like to mountain or road bike too and with working from home I can be flexible with my time due to being able to choose my own hours.

I consider myself friendly, easy-going and have a good sense of humour. So if you fancy adding me to your list of walking buddies then just drop me a message.
