A bit more about me:

When it comes to Scrambling & Edges I'm OK with the occasional edge or scramble but don't go looking for it. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. To be honest, my map reading & navigation skills are a bit averagely average. I can drive and have a car.

I am a Qualified Ramblers Holidays Walk Leader. I am a Walk Leader for my Local Ramblers Group(s).

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Road Cycling
  • Mountain Biking

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Salisbury Plain hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi,
I like to think I'm still in my 30's but my knees tell me otherwise after a days walking..Ha! I enjoy picking up an OS Map and plotting a 12-15 mile circular walk using footpaths, bridleways etc. There are lots of lovely places waiting to be discovered and even better when your walking with someone to share them with. I'm hoping to meet someone that would like to have a walking companion who hopefully doesn't live to far from where I live, fit, young at heart, a good sense of humour and would like to join me in discovering more of this beautiful countryside. I'm available to walk most days as I have taken early retirement and although I do have commitments they can normally be juggled to suit. I also enjoy mountain biking, camping and currently converting a campervan for adventures further afield.

A bit more about me:

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? Fine with me, I've got waterproofs. I like walking with dogs and will bring my own. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Mountain Biking

By putting my profile on here I am hoping to meet someone special.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near L37 North West hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi my name is Tony I am still in full time work, so i want to make the most any days off. I am easy going and have a positive outlook on life, my glass isn't half full, it's over flowing! 🙂

I love being outdoors in the fresh air.

I have massively neglected my leisure time in recent years, so I'm now looking to do a bit of catching up. I am fit and have been blessed with good health.

I am told I am good company and fun to be with.
If there is a lady out there who enjoys walking/ cycling and non to heavy conversation, who just enjoys the lighter side of life, then Hi, I would love to meet up and set off walking and enjoy our great countryside and coastal paths.

My ideal walk would always end with a bite to eat and go on a twist my arm, a glass of wine, But I can also sit and have a coffee and just enjoy the views, it's just so much nicer to share them with a companion.
I would also love to venture to pastures new and get some use out of my new passport, post
lockdown of course!
Take care and hopefully speak soon 🙂

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Coventry hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I am looking for pleasant, easy going male or female walking friends preferably located in The Midlands, but not limited to this area as I'm more than willing to travel for an adventurous day out. Someone who loves the outdoors and likes to have a gentle chat, someone who can listen as well as talk, who has a good sense of humour and who isn't averse to a bit of adventure. I love to take advantage of the lighter evenings in the Spring and Summer to walk locally (within a 20ish miles radius) during the week. I work a couple of days a week, but can fit in daytime walks on other weekdays and at weekends. Happy to discuss any possibilities. It would be great to hear from you. I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Norwich hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, John here. Hoping to meet like-minded people/person to spend a few hours, or even a few days with.
I enjoy walking in any type of environment, followed by a beer or two after a good slog. I have walked in most National Parks, and walked up a few mountains. My navigational skills are above average and I always plan the route before setting off. With some notice, I am able to reach for the walking boots almost anytime.
I am more than happy to teach navigation skills to anyone.
I have no walking ambitions, I just love to get out and enjoy the view. So, if you wish to spend a couple of hours, or longer with me, please let me know.

I love the outdoors, walking, hiking, climbing, kayaking, coasteering, gorge walking.....the list goes on!
I have a campervan that I have just converted and, as I'm self-employed, I am able to go anywhere, at any time (almost). I like to get away as much as I can.
Care to join me sometime? (Obviously when the 'rona has gone!!).
Just spent 5 days in Matlock which was great. The weather not so, but I got some good walks in. It's just a shame nobody could share the enjoyment with me.

My Message: Hi I live in South Yorks and retired, at last, earlier this year so now I am able to go walking midweek as well as the weekends. Looking for a companion who also enjoys the tranquility of the countryside and wildlife. Am quite happy on a canal walk, equally happy up a hill, and love the variety of landscapes our lovely little country offers us. I am a member of RSPB, National Trust and English Heritage. I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Northumberland hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Fit active gay women (just saying so it's not awkward) wishing to meet like minded either gay or heterosexual women. I am happiest when I am walking up a hill. I love that feeling when you reach your destination, take a pew and look back down at the beauty of your surroundings. People are far far away below, the traffic is else where and you can hear the silence........magical!!

Unfortunately none of my friends like to do more arduous walks. I have walked on my own for years...well not exactly alone. I have always had a dog. I would love to walk with others who are as passionate as me about walking in the hills.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Shrewsbury hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I'm hoping to meet a female companion to travel the world for two years plus, taking in national trails. My plan is to start Spring 2021 in the UK on the South West Coast Path, then where ever we choose, COVID permitting, hopefully moving to Europe at a later date. I've been walking in the Lake District, Scotland, Snowdonia and a section of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
I'm walking some evenings(short), weekdays(medium) and weekends(longer). I am working 2-3 days a week at the moment. My interests are local history, Nature and Photography. As well as Europe I'd like to take in The Pacific Crest Trail in the USA and The Bibbulmun Trail in Australia. All this on a tight budget which I believe is achievable with the use of Workaway and Trusted house sitters.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 70s, based near Worcestershire hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message:
Hello fellow walkers! I've always enjoyed walking - I'm energetic, a reasonable pace, whilst absorbing nature along the way suits me perfectly. I fill my weekdays, week- ends suit me well.
Due to illness and circumstances my regular walking friends are unable to join me. I'm not being adventurous or pushing myself now the days are shorter and cooler. I love all the seasons, tho' autumn's my favourite. There is a joy in being outdoors with good conversation sharing the love of nature- invigorates, whilst exchanging ideas and learning, some laughter too- would be nice to share all these delights with someone likeminded.
Anything over eight miles, would be a long walk for me, Currently my walking tends to be on the hills where I live here in Malvern.
I've come to realise without a companion to set some days with, places will remain unexplored!...

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Norwich hoping to meet just Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi
Im in my 50's - fit enough to handle a good challenge walk (done the Lyke Wake a few times) - ive also walked the Coast to Coast, and would be very happy to do it again some time - but am equally as happy gently strolling through the countryside stopping at the occasional pub:)
I enjoy walking on the North Yorkshire Moors/Coast, the Peak District and the Lake District.
I have a campervan, but am not averse to something a bit more luxurious in the way of a hotel or country inn!!

Im hoping to find a likeminded Lady Walker who would like the occasional weekend away, whatever the weather. - map reading skills useful but not essential!!! If anyone would like a quiet walking and eating getaway in North Yorkshire or the Peak District over Christmas do get in touch!!

I'm not bothered about dogs one way or the other. I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are pretty good. I can drive and have my own Campervan/Motorhome.

I am also interested in:

  • Camping on Campsites - Camping where there is a shop, toilets, showers & possibly a pub;
  • Wild Camping - Camping out in the wilds well away from anyone & any facilities;
  • Long Distance Path Walking - Multi-day walks like The Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk;
  • Back Packing - Multi-day walks carrying all your gear & wild camping;
  • Skiing and/or Snowboarding

I am not actively looking for anyone other than a new walking companion but if that right person came along . . .

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Stroud hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I've been walking for the past 20 years. For a long time because of work commitments and raising my children I didn't have time for long distance walking, but now I have time and am keen to do as many as I can. I'm particularly keen to do the Beacon Way (Brecon Beacons), Coast to coast, and The Two moors way, to start....But I'm open to any long distance walks. I know the days are getting shorter but I'd love to get in a few long walks before the end of the year. If interested, male or female, please contact me. Many thanks Mary

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Birkdale hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I like to get out in the hills as often as possible but I don't go bagging Munros just to get back and tick it off a list.
I go to enjoy the beauty of our country and take my time and breath in fresh air.
I love Caledonia, the north west highlands to me are the most beautiful place on planet earth and I've traveled extensively.
I don't go climbing or in the snow and ice anymore as I have done in the past.
I don't mind it being cold and fresh though. I always go into the mountains fully prepared, map, compass, waterproofs etc. Just common sense things because anything can happen at any time.
I have done a lot of walking in Scotland but also enjoy the lakes, and the dales etc, doesn't have to be a long or high up walk, pleasurable and fun is what it's all about to me.
Would like to meet others to enjoy a good time out and about, not just on high peaks, any walk can be a good one, it's what you make of it. Finding a nice pub at the end is a bonus too.
I'm going up to the north west highlands from 15th June for two weeks and going to tackle Slioch, An Teallach, Stac Pollaidh, Suilven amongst others. Cape Wrath too.
Before that I hope to be up in the lakes most weekends depending on the weather.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Neston hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi, I'm looking for someone to go hiking or scrambling with in North Wales and/or the Lakes as my husband is no longer able to walk with me. I am a member of a few walking groups however with Covid these have been temporarily put on hold. I am able to walk mid-week as well as on the weekend. I'm pretty fit and like to walk at a good average pace I guess. I haven't much knowledge of the mountains or orienteering hence my trepidation about going it alone and the reason I'm looking for a walking buddy! I'm from Liverpool and have a great sense of humour and am very easy going and sociable.

A bit more about me:

I love Scrambling & Edges - the more exposure the better. I'm happy to walk in most weathers but do not like snow and ice. I like walking with dogs and will bring my own. If pushed, I'd say my map reading & navigation skills are rather poor at best. I can drive and have a car.

I am also interested in:

  • Mountain Biking
  • Skiing and/or Snowboarding
  • Horse Riding And Tennis

Important: For the avoidence of doubt I am definitely not looking for anything other than someone to go walking with.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Chester hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: Hi
I'm in my early 60's, reasonably fit and active, I play squash and go running a couple of times a week.I love my job as a nurse/counsellor and when I have free time I like to be outdoors. I'm as happy on long walks as I am climbing a mountain,or on the coastline. I'm not competitive these days but still want to feel a sense of achievement and stretch myself.I've explored many areas in the UK. Last year I did the Welsh 3 peaks ( over several days) with my daughter. A couple of years ago I discovered Bulgaria with some friends and am going back this year to do some walks in the Piril range.I'm looking to meet new people,for new experiences, good conversation,fun and friendship.

I can cope with a little bit of scrambling if it is short and there are no steep drops. With regard to the weather, this is the UK so it's going to rain sooner or later isn't it? I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Chester hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I've always loved walking but running became my sport for a large part of my life. Due to injury a couple of years ago, I'm now back walking as my main source of fitness.
I work full time during the week but try to do about an hour or two of walking most days, and I enjoy the occasional longer walk at the weekends. I'm hoping to meet someone to share my walks with, whether that be for a local evening stroll or a weekend walk up Snowdon. I borrow my friends' dogs as company on many an occasion, but having someone I can have a conversation and a bit of a laugh with is much more preferable. I've also done a bit of geo-caching, which is much more fun with the right companion. Most recently, I've walked the Maelor Way (a section at a time) and I'm part way through the Sandstone Trail. The highest mountain I've climbed is probably Tryfan. The company is more important than the challenge these days. I do have friends I can drag along, but it often involves being the third wheel... I should mention I have been told on many occasions that I walk quite fast!

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Ruthin hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I like walking for fitness and relaxation in the beautiful countryside of North Wales. I would like to meet a walk buddy/new friend and to be honest this is also because now I'm a pensioner my family get a bit stressed when I head off around Brenig in case I end up in a ditch and nobody knows I'm there. Ideally I'd like to walk mid-week as most of my friends are still working so I'm busy socially (in that previous non-Covid world that is) at weekends.
I've looked at Ramblers or other groups but I'd prefer to walk just with a buddy who also likes to walk at a reasonable pace. Alwen lake takes me 2 hours or Brenig 3 hours so a reasonable pace for me means 5+ km per hour on mixed terrain.
Because I'm walking for fitness I prefer to stay local rather than spend hours in the car.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Powys hoping to meet both Male and Female new friends to go walking with.

My Message: I bought a book with a route from Penmaenmawr to Swansea Bay when I was 25, 26 years later I've yet to walk one part of that route. I've bought a few more books since then with the pages well thumbed but not put into action. I'm looking for walking groups, triples, couples, singles even stray pet dogs who fancy a slog, hike or stroll anywhere in North, Mid or South Wales. Happy with wild camping or tame pubs, just get me out please! (The lack of a photo doesn't mean I'm weird looking, just the webpage not working properly)
