I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Teignmouth.

My Message: Your Message
Hi. I'm new to South Devon and love to walk! My trusty Shetland sheepdog is my constant companion. I'm hardy but not very fast. But I love company, a cuppa and good conversation! I'm only interested in making friends, nothing more. Timewise, I am very flexible so happy to do weekdays around the local area or Dartmoor or further afield. I'm a liberal thinker, an ex-academic, interested in the arts, travel, politics and culture, anything funny and engaging. I also play the violin badly, but don't worry, it doesn't come out with me! I love the great outdoors and fresh air.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Preston.

My Message: Hello there........ I live in PRESTON and I'm looking for male/ female/group walking companions.
I used to walk every weekend a couple of years ago and have managed to tick off over 50 of the wainwrights plus many other challenging walks however my fitness levels are not what they used to be and I would like to change that !

So I am looking for like minded walkers who are happy to walk at a reasonable pace, like to laugh and enjoy a good chat but at the same time feel comfortable with silence, particularly in the peace and quiet of the countryside.

I drive, I am reliable, and I'm available Saturday's and some Sunday's as I have just joined a walking group that meets every altenate sunday.

My sense of direction is not great but if I'm really observant I can get by and I'm looking at buying a GPS unit.

I prefer the lakes but I'm happy to do more local short walks too. Preferred level is about 10 miles with ascents between 1000 - 2000ft.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Liss, Hants.

My Message: Hi there,
I am Cheryl, new to the site and still trying to find my way around.
I have a young and positive outlook on life and am told I look a lot younger. If I could engage in lots of long walks I would, but I have osteoarthritis which hinders that. I am a Holistic Therapist and have managed to stay away from pain killers, preferring supplements and gentle exercise. I appreciate the many benefits of spending time in nature, and as I live in the South Downs National Park, I am never short of areas to explore. I'm never happier than when out for country strolls with a friend, sometimes stopping off for a picnic, or coffee at a nearby pub. I am looking for male/female company interested in 'relaxed' walks where we can enjoy the fresh air, chat and take in the surrounding beauty, and would love to hear from anyone who feels the same. I once joined a group walk, but didn't enjoy it and much prefer one to one company. I have only listed local walking areas, but am not adverse to trying others. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I love dramatic scenery and there's not a lot in Suffolk, I have a little campervan which is a bit basic but I'm an expert camper, as I spend most of my time away out walking it suits me fine and gives me freedom, my family mostly live in Dorset and I am there quite often, I've just returned from walking round the Lizard Peninsular which was great

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Hinckley, Leics.

My Message: Hi, my names Paul and I'm looking for someone who is adventurous, fun and would like to go on short or long hikes. Short country walks to a country pub for food and drinks are as much my cup of tea as are the more challenging long distance trails.
I like taking photos and chatting with strangers along the way, generally having a laugh and enjoying the great outdoors. I'm currently trying my hand at landscape water colour painting if you can give me some tips? In return I can safely navigate you from A-B without fear of getting lost!
I can go walking almost any day of the week as my work is flexible, although I have to work a lot of weekend dates so weekdays would be best.
The Peak District is a big favourite of mine because it's close to home but love the Yorkshire Dales and the Lakes, but would walk anywhere new and interesting. Would be interested in walking in Italy as I've just got the guide books and it looks amazing!
So if you'd like to have your own sherpa, tour guide and some fun along the way drop me a line

I am a Female Walker, in my late 60s, based near Taunton.

My Message: I now live in Somerset, have recently acquired a rescue Labrador and am looking for a walking and talking companion. I am a fit, young 68 year old and, whilst I confess to not being an experienced walker I would love to take it up on a regular basis.
I am extremely well travelled worldwide, many years in the travel and hospitality industries, have lived abroad for most of my life (am fluent in French, German and Spanish now rusty). However, there are parts of the U. K. that are foreign to me and I would love to change that. If you are up for the challenge, do get in touch.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Stoke On Trent.

My Message: Prefer to walk in smaller than larger groups, so looking to make acquaintance of both Men and Women as walk companions. Have very recently walked 16+ miles around Wenlock Edge in Shropshire, but happier generally with around 10 to 12 miles. Part-retired and only work 3 days a week now (the one consolation of getting older I have found) so available Thursday to Sunday. Have my own car. Preferred walking areas/counties are just the most accessible from where I live in Stoke on Trent, but open to other venues which might need an overnight stop or a weekend away

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Shaftesbury.

My Message: Hi, I'm married to a lovely man, but he doesn't like walking. I have set myself the target of walking the SW Coastal Path, and have completed the first 70 or so miles from Minehead, alone, but would much prefer to be with other(s), from a safety point of view and generally having company. I like to do 8-13 miles a day, and enjoy the occasional cuppa along the way/something stronger on completion maybe. I think I'm easy going, pretty bad at map reading (attending a course soon), have a sense of humour and enjoy a bit of a challenge. In the future, I would like to do many other National Trails, and am happy to find accommodation for longer stints away. My puppy may want to join in at some point, so would prefer a dog lover, but that's not a deal-breaker. Would be delighted to be contacted by men or women of any age and enjoy a pace of 2. 5-3. 5 miles per hour, according to terrain.
