Message: Hi, I walk regularly in all weathers and though I like getting up somewhere reasonably high (love Tryfan) I'm happy walking the valleys and dales too. I walk to see what's there, not to tick it off and so don't believe it's necessary to do distance or height just for the sake of it. I also enjoy camping , windsurfing and occasional cycling. I'm outgoing, fit, dependable and a fairly competent navigator. I'm looking for someone of similar ilk but female to join me, age isn't important, but you must be a non smoker so if you would like to see more of our wonderful country and mix it with good company, lively conversation ( light hearted or serious ), plenty of laughter, and an after walk meal or drink then write. Message: Hi, Love being outdoors, love walking and being in nature. I'm looking and hoping for company on a few walks.Walked the Camino de Santiago this year and need to get out on a few more distant walks, all walks considered long or short and will travel to most destinations. Don't mind walking with groups or individuals . Happy to share with dogs as I have one of my own but she is too old and a little lazy these days so can't take her with me. Can go most days unless I'm away working but pretty flexible. Happy to do full weekends and not too past it to camp wild if required but very happy in a Guest house or hostel. I'm reasonably fit as I train most days and practice martial arts too so most paces ok with me as long as now and again we can have a stroll and take in some scenery my marathon running days are sadly over. Look forward to meeting anybody who would like to join me. and happy for me to join them.

Message: Hi, I'm a black female who's a total beginner at walking. I'm looking for single male - but I'm not looking for a date :-), or female friends to go walking with. I live in central London and I'm pretty open about where we go walking as I don't mind sharing petrol costs to get to the walk if you drive. I don't really know where the ideal places are to go walking so I'm looking someone who would be willing to plan and lead our walk. Message: Hi I am Ellen, widowed and live near Hinckley (Leicestershire) although Scotland is my native home. I am looking to make new friends and perhaps find someone special who has a similar outlook on life to me. I enjoy all sorts of walking and have just completed the West Highland Way climbing Ben Nevis as a finale. I have recently been trekking in Nepal in the Annapurna Range BUT I am equally happy exploring the hidden parts of the UK. I am looking to ease my way back into it now and I would really enjoy the company of a like minded soul to chatter away with on my walks. Message: Hello I'm Joanne and I enjoy all types of walking, from casual local walking to the more serious mountain walking and scrambling. Have walked with mountaineering clubs and friends with walks that range from 3/4 hours in the Peaks to mountain walks in North Wales, Lake District and Scotland. Have manged Anach Eagach Ridge on a clear day scrambling over the pinnacles and would like to develop my scrambling further. Message: Hello. I am new to this having formerly been into running and gym visits to keep fit. However, I have always loved the countryside, fresh air and exploring places that seem interesting. I've decided its now time to combine the two by dipping my toe into walking. I do not think I will be into walking for walkings sake, but more the opportunity to explore what may be offered along the route. Message: Hi everyone I am very new to hiking on my own, and I am still breaking in new boots. I am interested in hiking to just about anywhere, days, weekends and holidays to different places of interest. I am 53 Petite, fit and healthy. Message: Hello my name is Mike and I live in Coventry. I am a keen walker and have walked over most parts of Warwickshire, NW Northamptonshire and South Leicestershire. My map reading skills are very sound. Last year, I tried The New Forest and The Forest Of Dean, for the first time. Both of which I thoroughly enjoyed, there is something completely different about walking in quite dense woods, as opposed to countryside and moorland. In the past I have climbed all the major peaks in the Lake District and have also climbed Snowdon as well as closer to home the Malvern Hills. I keep myself fit, by obviously walking locally, but also through running regularly and playing squash/racquet balls, three times a week. It would be great, to meet a fairly local woman, who enjoys a decent walk in the countryside and who doesn't mind the odd climb or two; taking in the scenery, the wildlife and having a good chat and a laugh. I work part-time now, so I have a few mornings and afternoons free, which means that I am available to go walking locally during the week, as well as at the weekends, for both local walks and walks farther a field.
