I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near South Lakes

My Message: I have returned from living in France and would like to get to know this beautiful region once more and all the lovely scenery and places, that it and this country has to offer. I don't have anyone that shares the same interest as me in walking and a love of the countryside, so hence I am looking for someone who does. If you think you would like to join me and enjoy a cheeky drink and a bite to eat at the end of our walk,i would love to hear from you. I haven't done much distance walking for a while now,but am keen as mustard and have some interesting tales to tell,on the way. Best wishes. Phil

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Marlow

My Message: Hello, I am hoping to find male or female interested in joining me for the highest peaks in North Pennines, North Yorkshire Dales and Northumbria. I've been enjoying the hills for 20 plus years. It all started with a great crowd in Lancashire and Manchester. We met every month to do the Lakes or Wales and whilst living in Stockport I would try to get to the Lakes or Peak District at weekends too. Now, living in the South of England, vertially on the Chiltern Way, the landscape is rambling and picturesque, but I miss the great times in the North. Hence I have set myself the challenge of climbing the HEWITTS (England to start with). 56 of 180 done so far. I tend to walk solo and drive North on a Friday to do an afternoon peak/s and then main peaks Saturday and Sunday. For me the greatest challenge is Time as I have a family, work and getting away at weekends can prove tricky. I'm happy to meet up with anyone in the local areas mentioned or drive up with you too. Even though my navigation is ok, I'd prefer someone with a good sense of direction! Happy walking and may your waterproofs never fail :D Caroline

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Bovey Tracey

My Message: I am a dog owner and like to go walking on Dartmoor and south Devon. My miniature schnauzer and Standard Poodle take me for a walk most days, but they don't have much to say. So I am looking for some company along the way. I don't rush along and am happy stop for coffee breaks and to enjoy the scenery. My dogs are very friendly and get along with most dogs, they much prefer to walk off the lead in the countryside or near the water.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Solihull

My Message: I have just started walking and just love it. I have walked the Malverns a few times, Kinder Scout and some of the simpler trails around the Lake District. I would love to be a bit more adventurous and it would be great to find a walking partner. I am reasonably fit, but a novice at map reading! I do however have a good sense of direction which always helps me. Happy to walk weekends and during the week. Any takers?

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Belvedere

My Message: Hello, I'm Tim, 61, fit, active, lots of energy and stamina, looking for a female walking companion. Any age or ethnic origin is welcome, but I am an atheist, and there's not much point in us being too philosophically dissimilar. I live on the London/Kent border but have walked extensively in all areas of England and Wales and bits of Scotland (only the distance has kept me from doing more). Have walked most hills in the Lake District and Snowdonia and nearly all the national trails and many others. I love the UK coast and am always ready to walk any part of it, as well as local paths such as the North Downs Way and South Downs Way. In fact, I'll walk anywhere and at any time - it's what I love to do. Hopefully I'm well-rounded and I also love music, books, maps, nature, history, buildings, etc. Friends have said that I'm funny, kind, intelligent, sensitive, a good conversationalist - still, what do they know? Any companion would hopefully soon be a friend but I'm very open for this to develop into a girlfriend/soulmate/life partner situation. And if it doesn't there'd still be a good walking friendship. If any of this appeals I'd love to hear from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Walsall

My Message: Hi, my name is Mike and I'm looking for a walking companion(s) to enjoy walks with. I have walked on my own and in groups before, but prefer walking with one or two people. I don't mind, long or short distances walking. I love to walk on the hills and in the mountains. My favourite spot is the long mynd. I would like to go further a field, to discover other areas? I'm not one of these who need to do a fast walk, I just like to get into the fresh air and enjoys take in the views, or even a few photo's. I'm based just off the M6 at junction 9 most people know IKEA. I'm easy going...... I like to have a chat and a laugh, but I'm also a good listener too. I've been told from others I've got a good sense of humor and I don't mind a bit of a banter if you like that sort of thing? I don't mind what the weather is doing, has long as there is somewhere for a cuppa (pub/cafe) at the end/middle of the walk. My average distance these days is between 8 and 15 miles I'm flexible with the distance and terrains. So if you want to walk with me on a regular basis or If you are at a lose end and fancy a walk with someone different, why not get in touch. Cheers

I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Penrith

My Message: Hi, I am an experienced hill walker living near Penrith. I have walked in Europe, America and throughout the British Isles. My hill walking started in The Lakes and having recently moved into the National Park I am now renewing my memories of these iconic hills. My lifelong passion are the hills of Scotland having climbed over 250 Munros. That said, I enjoy walking in all wild areas and like to take time to appreciate the views and wildlife. A great day on the hill followed by a pub is my ideal day. If that appeals then please get in contact.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 70s, based near Chester

My Message: Hi, my name is Chris. I am a fairly experienced walker from Chester. My wife no longer walks seriously, so I would be interested to meet a companion (male or female) to join me on the West Highland Way (WHW) in late May/early June 2018. I have completed the Coast to Coast, The Wicklow Way and the Dingle Way in Ireland. I have also reached half way along the West Highland Way before an in injury interrupted it! I prefer to walk in company these days, and enjoy stimulating conversation, taking the time to savour my surroundings and enjoying the wonderful views these sceptred isles present. I am always accompanied by at least 2 of my working Springer Spaniels, and would like to take one on the WHW, though not sure if this can be arranged. I have a base in Kendal as well as Chester.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near Aylesbury

My Message: Hello, I am retired and single with plenty of time to indulge my love of walking. I walk sometimes alone and sometimes with local walking groups. I would very much like to expand on that by finding a new friend or friends to walk with on a one to one basis. I live in Aylesbury so the Chilterns are on my doorstep but I am more than happy to try other areas. Recent walking holidays were in Wales and Yorkshire and I was born and raised near the Lake District. I am more interested in spending time in the outdoors, stopping to enjoy the views and ending in a pub, than in ticking off particular challenges. A typical walk for me would be between 6 and 12 miles. More than that on a good day! If that sounds good to you drop me a line and we can take it from there. Brian

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Merseyside

My Message: Hi I would like to meet anyone familiar with walks around the Bala/Gwynedd area. Unfortunately I'm no good at map reading hence why I'm hoping to find people with good navigational skills. I recently climbed Cader Idris with a group and excellent leader so didn't get lost! Other recent experience has been a point to point trek across Mallorca, high level walking in Sardinia & Lanzarote. I also usually manage to visit the Lakes a couple of times a year. I don't do camping of ANY kind I'm afraid but do enjoy good humour and conversation. If you can read a map and fancy a day out in the Gwynedd area please get in touch.
