I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Nantwich.

My Message: Hi
I am 62,female and looking for walking companions or groups. My level of walking is up to about grades 7/8.
I am fit and fun, as well as able to go the distance. I walk at a steady pace with no forced marches or unseemly need to prove myself. Took up walking 3 years ago, so very amateur in maps etc. Want to get to know different parts of the Lakes and Snowdonia at weekends and even some weekdays. This year have done Annapurna base camp, toubkal Morocco, picos dos europas, and Everest base camp 2 weeks ago.Love the Himalayas. South America and others await.
Please contact me if you are interested.
Jackie

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Cheshire.

My Message: I like nothing more than a day walk, any time of year, whatever the weather. I prefer a more challenging walk over a stroll. I love being amongst nature, I find it very calming and grounding after a set of shifts.

I'd like to find a fit walking friend who doesn't mind what the weather brings.
I am not looking for a relationship, just a likeminded individual to share some pleasant hikes with.

I enjoy ridge walks and have done the CMD arĂȘte, Crib Goch, Aonach Eagach and lots of the other main ones. Scrambling is a passion too - the Wildboarclough one is my favourite to date!

I work unsocial hours and three weekends out of four at present (good old nhs) but have plenty of free days midweek.

I am a Female Walker, in my late 40s, based near Bourne.

My Message: Hi, Female walker looking to meet up with male/female kindred spirit. Reasonably experienced and fit I can walk week ends and midweek. Although the Peak district is nearest to me I am willing to travel to new walks in different areas. An inspiring, energetic hike, whether in the hills or following local footpaths with a packed lunch followed by a pub meal is a day well spent, and better shared. So if you're local or further a field and think we may get along, I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my early 50s, based near Kendal.

My Message: Hi there,
My name is Mark and I live in the south Lake District. I moved here just over 9 years ago from Nottingham after coming on holiday. I fell in love with the hills and the beautiful scenery and wanted to spend the rest of my life here.
I am a very keen walker and have climbed about half of the Wainwrights, Ben Nevis, Snowdon etc and a few in Austria.
I just love the outdoors in almost any weather conditions and I'm quite good at compass/map reading. I have walked alone quite a lot recently due to family issues and I would now like to share the mountains with other like minded people. It would be great to spend a day scaling a high peak then spending an afternoon with good food and good company.
Feel free to get in touch if this sounds good to you.
Thanks.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 30s, based near Whitchurch.

My Message: Hi I'm looking to meet new people/friends to have fun with and share some nice days out walking. I'm originally from Scotland but moved to South Cheshire a few years ago. I'm out most weekends walking or mountain biking so I'm reasonably fit. I also love camping so happy to go away for a camping/walking weekend. I have three dogs all Cavalier King Charles Spaniels which i would like to take walking with me (not on the harder routes though) so if you have a dog or don't mind fury animals then I would love to hear from you whether it be a lazy stroll or something a bit more energetic!.

Box: 111932

I am a Female Walker, in my late 50s, based near Chelmsford.

My Message: Hi, This summer I started walking the South West Coast Path (47 miles down, 583 to go!) I thoroughly enjoyed the walking and the beautiful scenery, and I'm hoping to complete a few more miles next year, but I need to develop my hill fitness... not easy to do whilst living in the flat lands of Essex! I'm looking for someone to tackle the hills with and, obviously, I'm going to have to travel, which isn't a problem. I'm not very tall so, despite going at a reasonable pace for me, I'm unable to match the stride length of anyone who prefers to march on at speed. I like to walk and talk, stop to take photos, and to marvel at the incredible views. Are you someone with good map-reading and navigational skills? Would you be happy to walk with me at my pace and understand that I'm actually walking pretty quickly for me? Do you enjoy a chat and a laugh? I work part-time so I'm available from Thursday to Monday and I'm keen to get out there as soon as possible. I love the sunshine and don't mind the cold (I walked in the Peak District in snowy November) but, I'm not so keen on rain - a bit of light drizzle is OK but if it's pouring down... I'd rather find a nice tearoom or pub. If you think you can share some hills with me, please get in touch. I'm also open to walks in counties and National Parks other than those listed. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 60s, based near Winchester & Hove.

My Message: My name is Shelley, widow, originally from South Africa, last 18 years in Hampshire, but currently living/working (flexibly) in Hove & New Alresford. I'm looking for a slowish walking companion to do day walks and occasional longer, and build up my flagging fitness levels - been pretty slack over the past year in a very isolating and sedentary job. Not great on hills at the moment - unless we can stop to admire the scenery on the way up.

I work, but days/weeks/even months off are easy to arrange, as job is flexible, and have a car. I've clicked the counties around where I live for day walks but very happy to walk further afield.

Lighthearted, friendly, enjoy camping, gardening, reading, nature, novice birder, bit of a home body, care hugely about the planet and could be called a tree hugger. Favourite tipple - plenty of tea or one gin.

I am a Female Walker, in my mid 60s, based near North Yorkshire/Yorkshire Dales.

My Message: Looking for walking mates (m or f) to do moderate/strenuous walks. I am passionate about the hills, wild places and like a challenge. I am an experienced hillwalker but also enjoy social walks. I usually walk with groups - or alone to practice navigation (which I am reasonable at) - though prefer to walk with others. It would be good to meet up with likeminded walking buddies as its always better to share the experience. I'm easy going, enjoy socialising, have a good soh and when at my fittest I walk in Scotland, the Pyrenees and Spain. It would be good to get to know anyone else who might be interested in walking locally to any of the locations listed or even to these other stunning areas. I work P/T as a health professional and can walk in the week as well as at week-ends. I'm happy to travel to meet up.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 50s, based near Berkeley.

My Message: Hi, I hope you are well? Update 12.11.17 I am still a single 55 year old man and am looking for a walking partner to get me back into my walking boots, I ruptured my Achilles Tendon a couple of years ago and have not really done any walks since apart from a couple of 6 mile ones. I can often be seen around the countryside with my camera and tripod, trying to take a photo of some wildlife, usually feathered birds :-)I hope to find someone who is willing to take things steady at first to see how far I can get myself back up to. I work as a lorry driver and so am not as fit as I was before the injury when my job at the time was a more active one. Friends are good and if I found a partner out of this then I would feel very lucky.

I am a Male Walker, in my mid 60s, based near South Lakes.

My Message: I have returned from living in France
and would like to get to know this beautiful region once more and all the lovely scenery and places, that it and this country has to offer.
I don't have anyone that shares the same interest as me in walking and a love of the countryside, so hence I am looking for someone who does.
If you think you would like to join me and enjoy a cheeky drink and a bite to eat at the end of our walk,i would love to hear from you.
I haven't done much distance walking for a while now,but am keen as mustard and have some interesting tales to tell,on the way.
Best wishes.

I am a Female Walker, in my early 50s, based near Marlow.

My Message: Hello, I am hoping to find male or female interested in joining me for the highest peaks in North Pennines, North Yorkshire Dales and Northumbria. I've been enjoying the hills for 20 plus years. It all started with a great crowd in Lancashire and Manchester. We met every month to do the Lakes or Wales and whilst living in Stockport I would try to get to the Lakes or Peak District at weekends too.
Now, living in the South of England, vertially on the Chiltern Way, the landscape is rambling and picturesque, but I miss the great times in the North. Hence I have set myself the challenge of climbing the HEWITTS (England to start with). 56 of 180 done so far. I tend to walk solo and drive North on a Friday to do an afternoon peak/s and then main peaks Saturday and Sunday.
For me the greatest challenge is Time as I have a family, work and getting away at weekends can prove tricky.
I'm happy to meet up with anyone in the local areas mentioned or drive up with you too. Even though my navigation is ok, I'd prefer someone with a good sense of direction!
Happy walking and may your waterproofs never fail :D Caroline

My Message: I am a dog owner and like to go walking on Dartmoor and south Devon. My miniature schnauzer and Standard Poodle take me for a walk most days, but they don't have much to say. So I am looking for some company along the way. I don't rush along and am happy stop for coffee breaks and to enjoy the scenery. My dogs are very friendly and get along with most dogs, they much prefer to walk off the lead in the countryside or near the water.

My Message: I have just started walking and just love it. I have walked the Malverns a few times, Kinder Scout and some of the simpler trails around the Lake District. I would love to be a bit more adventurous and it would be great to find a walking partner. I am reasonably fit, but a novice at map reading! I am a Male Walker, in my early 60s, based near Belvedere.

My Message: Hello, I'm Tim, 61, fit, active, lots of energy and stamina, looking for a female walking companion. Any age or ethnic origin is welcome, but I am an atheist, and there's not much point in us being too philosophically dissimilar. I live on the London/Kent border but have walked extensively in all areas of England and Wales and bits of Scotland (only the distance has kept me from doing more). Have walked most hills in the Lake District and Snowdonia and nearly all the national trails and many others. I love the UK coast and am always ready to walk any part of it, as well as local paths such as the North Downs Way and South Downs Way. In fact, I'll walk anywhere and at any time - it's what I love to do. Hopefully I'm well-rounded and I also love music, books, maps, nature, history, buildings, etc. Friends have said that I'm funny, kind, intelligent, sensitive, a good conversationalist - still, what do they know? Any companion would hopefully soon be a friend but I'm very open for this to develop into a girlfriend/soulmate/life partner situation. And if it doesn't there'd still be a good walking friendship. If any of this appeals I'd love to hear from you.

I am a Male Walker, in my late 50s, based near Walsall.

My Message: Hi, my name is Mike and I'm looking for a walking companion(s) to enjoy walks with.
I have walked on my own and in groups before, but prefer walking with one or two people.
I don't mind, long or short distances walking. I love to walk on the hills and in the mountains. My favourite spot is the long mynd. I would like to go further a field, to discover other areas? I'm not one of these who need to do a fast walk, I just like to get into the fresh air and enjoys take in the views, or even a few photo's. I'm based just off the M6 at junction 9 most people know IKEA.

I'm easy going...... I like to have a chat and a laugh, but I'm also a good listener too. I've been told from others I've got a good sense of humor and I don't mind a bit of a banter if you like that sort of thing?

I don't mind what the weather is doing, has long as there is somewhere for a cuppa (pub/cafe) at the end/middle of the walk. My average distance these days is between 8 and 15 miles I'm flexible with the distance and terrains.

So if you want to walk with me on a regular basis or If you are at a lose end and fancy a walk with someone different, why not get in touch.

Cheers

My Message: Hi, I am an experienced hill walker living near Penrith. I have walked in Europe, America and throughout the British Isles. My hill walking started in The Lakes and having recently moved into the National Park I am now renewing my memories of these iconic hills. My lifelong passion are the hills of Scotland having climbed over 250 Munros. That said, I enjoy walking in all wild areas and like to take time to appreciate the views and wildlife.
