Robert Logan walked up Carnedd Moel Siabod on May 11th, 2012 [from/via/route] Plas y Brenin, Coed Bryn-engan, Pont Cyfyng, Daear Ddu [with] Judith Logan [weather] Cool, Cloudy, Brisk wind on tops
Gerald Murphy climbed Carnedd Moel Siabod on September 27th, 2011 [from/via/route] Dolwydellan [with] alone [weather] fine and sunny at first but towards 11am the cloud base descended, the wind increased, the temperature dropped and visibility became very restricted - The route was from a book about walks east of Dolwydellan. The directions were fine at first but after reaching the forest everything went to Hell in a handbasket. The forest staff were clearing acres of trees - completely destroying the paths and landmarks. Their tracked vehicles had chewed the ground to inches deep mud. Finding Llyn Foel was a nightmare of try and try again. Finding my way back via the same route was even worse. I couldn't believe how many directions led via boggy heather and high tufted ground to dead ends. Next time I'm going from Pont Cyfyng!
