After completing the Wainwrights, Alfred Wainwright cast his eyes (and feet) further afield.
These 102 named and 14 un-named outlying mountains and tops in the Lake District will give you something to do once you have walked the original 214 Wainwrights.
A list of Wainwright Outlying Fells (with walks up them) should be available soon.
Peak Bagging the Wainwrights:
Peak Bagging the Wainwrights is a way of discovering and experiencing new mountains, peaks, tops and hills that you might have not otherwise thought of walking on - often in glorious solitude well away from the crowded honeypots.
It can be a lot of fun and immensely satisfying too!
To get started, see Peak Bagging the Wainwrights - how to get started or click on each link below to download an Adobe Acrobat (pdf) document containing a Location Map and Tick List of all the Wainwrights, Hewitts and Bridgets by area.
On each one you will find room to record which mountains, peaks and hills you have climbed (or 'bagged') and offer mouth watering inspiration for your next walk.
