Mountains and Tops also known as 'Nuttalls' are defined as being any high point over 610m (2000ft) above mean sea-level with just 15m (approx 50ft) of 'prominence' or 'ascent' on all sides.
The 'Nuttalls' in England include all 179 Mountains in England (Hewitts) plus 75 subsidiary tops.
There are currently 317 'Nuttalls' in total: - 254 in England and 190 in Wales.
NB. Mountain and Tops also known as 'Nuttalls' are named after lists in a two volume book entitled 'The Mountains of England and Wales' by John and Anne Nuttall, published by Cicerone in 1990.
