Win Tickets to the Outdoor Leisure Show 2011 worth £260
To celebrate its launch, we've got 10 pairs of tickets to the Outdoor Leisure Show 2011 up for grabs.
Taking place at the National Exhibition Centre, NEC, Birmingham, from 25 - 27 February 2011, the three-day show will run alongside the successful and popular Boat & Caravan Show (22 - 27 February), which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Organised by the team that runs one of the UK's largest consumer exhibitions, The Boat & Caravan Show, the Outdoor Leisure Show caters for all who enjoy spending time rambling, fell walking, mountaineering, camping, bird watching, cycling, canoeing, kayaking or just spending time exploring areas of natural interest.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see, compare and purchase the latest outdoor clothing, equipment, technology and accessories from leading manufacturers and suppliers, whilst experiencing the free-to-try outdoor activities, including canoeing, kayaking and climbing. The Outdoor Leisure Show has already attracted top, award-winning outdoor clothing and camping manufacturers, and is set to attract 20,000 outdoor enthusiasts in addition to those with an interest in outdoor pursuits from the Boat and Caravan Show.
There will a number of exciting features at the show. Alpkit will be running their popular 'Alpkids on the Blocs' climbing wall, which gives children a great chance to have a go at bouldering and parents the opportunity to gain valuable information for safe climbing. The 'Leap of Faith' is a must for adrenaline junkies, where visitors can climb up to the nine metre high platform, step off and feel the exhilaration as of free falling most of the descent until the fan kicks-in and provides a slow controlled landing. There will also be opportunities to talk to mountain rescuers about the valuable work they do, and see some technical demonstrations. Woodland Craft Reserve (sponsored by Bushcraft & Survival Skills Magazine) will also carry out a number of demonstrations, and allow visitors to 'have a go'.
Celebrity Monty Halls will be entertaining visitors on all three days of the show with inspiring insights into his adventures from the Outdoor Experts Stage (all talks are free to attend). The adventurer, TV presenter and marine biologist will officially open the show at 10am on Friday 25th February.
