The whistle, pencil, button compass and Aquaclear Water Purification Tablets are particularly useful and enclosed is a rather upbeat Survival Hint Sheet that includes a wealth of information including;
the immediate actions you must take in a survival situation;
the essential parameters for survival;
what to consider about your location;
Morse code;
Fire and fire making;
Ground to air signals;
Protection - both clothing & shelter;
Food - from plants & how to snare small animals;
Water & sources of water (including making a dew trap);
Moving - including river crossings, navigating using the sun, your watch, the stars, vegetation and the stick & shadow method of finding direction;
