In-use Test:
I've worn these trousers for Hiking and scrambling during a UK summer and overall they were supremely comfortable.
They are very light-weight and the fabric is extremely soft yet has come through several tramps through brambles without any obvious deterioration in performance.
They provide good wind protection and dry very quickly. And, of course, the fabric really does deal with moisture from perspiration very effectively.
However, neither the seat nor the knees are reinforced - this may possibly reduce their durability.
The articulated knee design ensures unhampered movement, which is really useful during a scramble, but which does give a very slightly 'baggy-kneed' effect when standing straight.
Whilst the two-way 3/4 length side zips provide great flexibility in ventilation they cannot be 'converted to shorts'.
The overall fit on the body is good - but I'd have preferred them to have been very slightly longer. However, the adjustable ankle cuff ensures a good fit over a walking boot, shoe or sandal.
There are two good size hip pockets and each of these contains a smaller zipped 'secret' pocket inside.
Style wise, I probably wouldn't wear them anywhere other than out walking or travelling but if you're looking for comfort plus a high level of technical performance - then Páramo's Agua Trousers are a quality product.
Extremely comfortable lightweight fabric that deals with perspiration superbly. Can't convert to shorts.
