The Northern Fells Area of The Yorkshire Dales National Park is roughly the area North of the A684 from Sedbergh to Leyburn via Hawes, the Eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park from Leyburn to Reeth, a line drawn from Reeth to Bowes, the A66 from Bowes to Brough and then the A683 South West from Brough to Sedbergh via Kirkby Stephen.

There are 28 'tops' to walk up and conquor, the highest point is Great Shunner Fell and the area includes:

9 Mountains (aka Hewitts) and
19 Bridgets
