The Howgill Fells area of The Yorkshire Dales National Park is roughly the area North of the A684 from Kendal to Sedbergh, the A683 North East to Brough, The A66 North West to Penrith and the Western Edge of the Lake District National Park South from Penrith to Kendal.

There are 40 'tops' to walk up and conquer, the highest point is The Calf and the area includes:

5 Mountains (aka Hewitts) and
35 Hills (aka Bridgets)
