The Snowdon Area area of The Snowdonia National Park is enclosed by Llyn Paris to the North, the A4086 (Dyffryn Mymbyr & The Pass of Llanberis) to the North East, the A498 (Llyn Gwynant, Nant Gwynant and Llyn Dinas) to the East & South East, Beddgelert to the South, the A4085 (Nant Conwyn, Llyn Cwellyn & Nant y Betws) to the South West and the edge of the Snowdonia National Park to the North West.

There are 13 'tops' to walk up and conquor, the highest point is Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and the area includes:

8 Mountains (aka Hewitts) and
5 Hills (aka Bridgets)
