" Please feel free to add this photo to your gallery collection. Taken last October on an excellent ridge walk on a clear autumn day. A walk (The Newlands Horseshoe) that was inspired by one picked from your excellent site. A great day and a mighty walk for me and more so for Jack my 6 year old lad. Many thanks Dean Bowen "

" Hi GFAW, Thank you for all of your hard work - I'm so glad I had your notes and waypoints with me at the weekend [for walk c128 The Hayswater Round from Hartsop ] - rain, low cloud, gale force gusts, and coming off in the dark all made for a very interesting run (I didn't start it until 2pm and so decided to run it for as much as I could and managed to get back to the start point at 5:30pm!). At [waypoint] c128-C the wind was blowing so hard that as I was crossing the footbridge by the dam that there were waves of spray being blown off the lake all over me - it was all worth it though:-) Kind regards, Matt "

" Just wanted to say thanks for this walk (d296 Jacob’s Ladder from Edale ), I gather its a popular route but for newish walkers this was great for us. Turns out one of our patry had walked it 20 years ago so for him (a heart bypass patient) it was quite poignant. Our two kids loved clambering on Noes Stool and Pym chair and just when we thought it was all over, the icing on the cake, a scramble down Grinsbrook Clough!! fabulous. Thanks again, PS hope to post some clips on Youtube shortly, look for 'naffusername' "
