So, on a go4awalk.com walk which way is north?
North is always up.
Should you forget, our logo incorporates the North pointer with a small N above the black arrow to indicate which direction North is. In any event, it is safe to assume that every go4awalk.com walk will orientated on the page so that North will always be up.

This means:
West is always to the left.
South is always down, and
East is always to the right.
If you keep forgetting which way is west and which way is east, try remembering that the W indicating West and the E indicating East spell WE across the face of the compass.
The directions indicated in our walk instructions are not meant to be taken as compass bearings since our maps do not offer sufficient detail.
Where we say go North, we simply mean in a generally Northern direction.
Compass bearings should be taken using the appropriate walking map you have with you and the local surroundings.
