Walk Grades

Our walk grade system is a guide to the type of walk you can expect.

It is based on a calculation made from the distance covered and the ascent made - along with the need to stop occasionally to look at the scenery (and take a breather!).

We then convert this calculation into a grade from 1 to 9.

See Walk Times for more information on the calculation.

Below is a rough guide to what each grade means - but it is only a guide! You may have different ideas. However, since this grade system is consistent on every go4awalk.com walk, you can adjust each walk grade to suit your own abilities.
