In-use Test:
Our testing for this boot involved a long day's walking on reasonably flat terrain after several day's rain so there was lots of very wet grass and mud.
The generous padding around the ankle and tongue plus the light weight meant that these boots were extremely comfortable straight out of the box.
My foot was held well at the heel plus the toe cap was firm enough to provide a good level of protection. The boots were quite easy to get on although I did find the lacing system somewhat aggravating as the lace eyelets at the ankle are a little shallow. It was also a little tricky to maintain the tension in the foot section whilst tightening the ankle.
The support offered at the ankle is good although personally I would prefer a boot that's cut a little higher if dealing with rockier terrain.
The boots were certainly waterproof but
there was a little seepage of water around the tongue which isn't
joined to the upper throughout it's length.
The reasonably aggressive tread on the sole meant that the grip
offered over this terrain was really very good.
