Male, 52, lives in Cheshire. Passionate about the great outdoors. Do the North Yorkshire Three Peaks every year. Just returned from walking Mt Eno in Kefalonia. Motivation sometimes difficult alone. So now seeking a true walking friend to share some new weekend walks. Also enjoy great conversation and a good pub food afterwards.

Looking for a walking buddy? Perhaps we can help each other. My name's John and I'm very keen on walking. I'm 34 and live in Bolton in Lancashire. I have about twenty years' walking experience and am comfortable on various terrains from low-level walks to the mountains of the Lake District and Wales. I am physically fit and can easily walk twelve to fourteen miles per day. Swimming and cycling are two of my other interests. The only difference between you and me is that I cannot see. I am therefore looking for people to walk with who can act as my eyes. Guiding me is very much easier than you might think and I can easily explain to you how to do it, even if you've never guided a blind person before. The main things you need are an open mind and common sense. If you've got those, we should get on great! If you're interested in meeting up for a walk, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

47, single and hoping for bright female company to share hill walks. I live in West Yorkshire and head out to the Dark Peak most Saturdays.
Happy to travel further afield though, but tend to prefer days out in more rugged terrain to a gentle Sunday afternoon post-pub stroll. Love taking pictures and recording my adventures at my blog.
Cheers, Mike

Hi, my name is Robin and I am based in Cheshire. I'm an active young-at-heart 52 year old male, looking for a female walking companion. I love to explore areas of outstanding natural beauty, especially mountains, woodlands and the coast. I also like to visit historic towns, ancient sites and country pubs! My other interests include watching and filming wildlife. If you have similar interests and a passion for the great outdoors, it would be lovely to hear from you.

Hi everyone,
I'm Christine and live in Central Scotland nr Stirling. I am looking for male and female companions for walking and maybe socialising too.
I work as a manager for two charities and also volunteer too. In my spare time I enjoy walking, camping, photography and play guitar. I can walk up to around 10 miles at the moment but would like to increase my fitness and build confidence for doing more. I can drive and have my own car so distance isn't too much of a problem, depending on where you are.
If you would like to get it touch it would be lovely to here from you and get to know each other.
Christine x

Hi, I enjoy travel, walking and exploring new areas and I am looking for some good company, it is always more fun when you can be with someone. Particularly for the drink and meal afterwards! I live close to Lichfield but can meet up anywhere. I am pretty good with maps and finding places to walk that are less used is a fun challenge. If you would like to meet up please drop me a line. Thanks.

For a couple of years I have been, and continue, touring the UK mainly for hill walking. Currently travelling in a motorhome and generally targeting walks of 8-12 miles, 2000-3000+ walks though also quite happy with low energy 'rambles'. Would enjoy male/female company, any age, for walks. I am moderately fit, but not a mountain goat! Mainly interested in hill walking areas rather than lowland walks, and that could be anywhere in the UK from John O'Groats to Land's End rather than just the national parks. Within reason can move about as suits me and other's availability and/or walking area preference. Currently (end June) in Scotland but moving down to Lakes/Dales/Wales areas soon. Well equipped with GPS, electronic and paper maps etc. Cheers Eric

I'd like to lie about my age, pretend I'm only fifty, tho' in truth I'm slightly older, but still very lithe and nifty.
I love to get out on the hills, and view the distant valleys, watch the curlews in their flight, and the hares as they box and parry.
A route march isn't really my thing, cos' I love the birds and flowers, and often stop to stand and stare, tho' I can walk for several hours.
A sense of humour is vital, and I like my jug half full, I don't mind walking on my own, but it can get rather dull.
My home is based in Lancashire, my spirit further north, I don't mind driving many miles, I'll willingly sally forth.
I can't commit to a regular pattern, cos' I have to earn my keep, but I've a degree of flexibility that allows me to walk each week.
Male or female, groups or singles, just as long as it is fun, the conversation interesting, and there's no expectation to run!!

I’m a 40 something male based in Cheshire. I used to walk the fells in my teens but career, life and children intervened for a while. I recently decided to get myself fit - endless weekends of The X Factor, Match of the day, beer and Chinese takeaways took their toll – and I am now in decent shape again. I don’t think I’m ready for the Olympics yet but I can put one foot in front of the other for most of the day and I’m raring to get up the higher fells and some of the big ‘uns in Snowdonia. I’ve had a few outings with friends, wife and family recently but they only want to go out when the sun is cracking the flags, there is a following wind, and the route is all downhill
I’m generally regarded as witty but quiet; intelligent but not a geek; blokish but not hung up on football. My politics are pro liberal and anti racism, but I won’t bore you with it. I’m told I’m clumsy but I have a good sense of direction: This probably means I will fall over at some point, but at least I will fall in the right direction. My main loves are my family, music and the outdoors
If you’re a bloke with a desire to spend the occasional weekend (or rare weekday) on the hills then please contact me and open negotiations.
regards,
Chris

Hi all, walking the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way in July. Heading off from Milngavie on Sunday 19th July arriving in Fort William Saturday 25th, days rest then off up the Great Glen Way on Monday 27th arriving
in Inverness on Friday 31st. Well thats the plan. Camping but using hotels on the way for my meals and maybe the odd night, definately staying in a hotel in Fort William. It's a fantastic walk, 180 miles, not too strenious, about 15 miles a day. I've done it before. Apart from the wonderful scenery you always meet nice and interesting people along the way. It's an experience not to be missed. I know its short notice but If you fancy joining me, for all or part of it, then you would be very welcome. I'm an easy going laid back sort of guy, talk a lot, so I've been told. Hope to hear from you.
John
