Q. Hi there,
Just found this site and its fab, but the question is can I camp near Snowdon with my dog? The reason I ask is I have been up to the top 5 times and want to give my dog the best walk of her life and want her to do it soon.
Any help will be wonderful, and congrats on this site, again its fab.

A. There are a couple of campsites in Llanberis - try Google.
See this link Climbing Snowdon in August for more information about routes up Snowdon, some photos from the mountain and what to to take and wear.
Hope this helps and thanks for your comments

A. You could try the Forestry Commision site at Beddgelert. This is to the South of Snowdon. They take dogs (we stayed there and did Snowdon with our labrador - twice!). The Sherpa bus stops right outside the site and can drop you at the start of the Rhyd Dhu or Snowdon Ranger paths in a few minutes. Or you could walk direct from the site, but it will add a couple of kilometres each way to the walk. Hope this helps

A. in the Llanberis pass on the right going up the hill. It's cheap and cheerful and only 30 mins walk from pen y pass. Toiiet only but has two streams running through it. Sheep in field but it's OK. Cant miss it from the road it has a dirty white bungalow in the back field. No one there permanently - just pitch & the owner will call once a day.

A. If it is in the summer try Shell Island. We were camped at Shell and a few of us went up Snowdon. If you like sand dunes and a dip in the sea after your climb this is the place. You can see Snowdon from the site.
