Smelly Walking Boots

Q. Hi, While walking on the Langdale Fell, I managed to step into a bog and sink full leg length deep (only one stride in and no warning).

After dragging myself out and cleaning up no the worse for wear. It has been a week now and my boots smell terrible.

How can I get the stench out of them?

A. Seems obvious, but have you tried Odour Eaters?

Or one of the household sprays that neutralises odours like Oust?

A. Cat litter seems to work. Fill your boots with it and leave for a couple of days
