Q. Hi there Could you recommend a GPS that is of good quality and easy to use for a first time user.
Cheers

I have used a Yellow Garmin Etrex for years and it has never (yet) let me down.
I usually download the waypoints from go for a walk and upload them into my Etrex using the free GPS Utility and I'm good to go - couldn't be easier.
I've not tried one of these GPS's that includes maps - partly because I've already got the maps [I] need, partly because the screen is too small for maps and partly because I often turn the GPS off when walking along easy to follow paths to save the batteries (which it eats furiously).
Hope this helps
Dave, Manchester
