Q. Wondered if anyone can help.
I am off to Peru to do the Inca Trail and have some Brasher walking boots which are not comfortable and cause blisters. I am looking to change them but don't know which would be the better boot for this trek. [Has] Anyone done this trek and what do you advise as correct footwear.

A. For the Inca Trail you will need some proper walking boots suitable for walking on rough stony paths like those found in the Lake District. The most important thing here is to get a pair that fit properly and are comfortable. - see Buying New Walking Boots for some sound advice.
Hope this helps

A. Hey, i done the Inca Trail in May for Macmillan Cancer Support. I bought a pair of Raichle boots from Cotswolds which were great and i only got one tiny blister. They were a bit pricey but well worth the money. Just climbed Snowdon in them this weekend with no problems. You really need to spend some time trying on different boots (remeber to try them on with your walking socks), Cotswolds were fab and spend quite a bit of time helping me choose the rights boots. The Inca Trail has lots of steps of varying sizes and you will be walking for up to 12 hours a day so comfortable boots are a must. Good luck with the trail, you'll love it!!
