Walking from Ribblehead to Horton in Ribblesdale via Inglebrough

Q. I want to park at Ribblehead, catch the train to Horton [in Ribblesdale] and walk back over Ingleborough. The natural route is over Simon Fell. Although this area is in open access, there doesn't seem to be a right of way.

Can you advise please?

Gavin Fay, St Helens

A. This is part of the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge Walk. We publish a set of walks that enable you to complete the whole walk in a single day, over two days or over three days.

For the section between Ribblehead and Horton in Ribblesdale see ny333 The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge as a 3 day walk - Day 3

If you want to complete the rest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge - see The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk - it will tell you everything you need to know.

For walk(s) on Simon Fell see Walk(s) ny171

Hope this helps
