Q. I have just discovered your superb web site and thought I'd experiment with downloading/uploading GPS data.
Unfortunately my GPS (Garmin e-trex legend c) does not seem to be able to import .txt files so I am unable to upload from the notepad file.
Is there a way round this? (Short of manually entering the waypoints).
Regards.
Dr Philip Smith

A. To upload the .txt file containing our GPS Waypoints to your GPS Device you need to use a GPS Utility such as GPSU.
This is available free (as a limited edition) from here and runs under Windows. (A link to this GPS Utility also appears on every GPS Waypoint download page - click here to see an example - walk c213 Helvellyn from Glenridding
At present we do not know of a GPS Utility that runs on an Apple Macintosh (OS9 or OSX). If you know of one please let us know.
Hope this helps, let me know how you get on
