Q. Hi, I am here in UK since Feb, and will be returning to India in Aug. Before returning, I wish to do some memorable hiking in lake district. can you pls suggest me the best one. For me, the walk should be 1. Not easy, but little bit adventurous (edges and steep valleys, high mountain are welcome), it should not be more than 15 kms in a day. 2. The start point should be some town or village where I can find accommodation to stay. And it (start point) should be reachable by public transport (from sheffield. I don't have car!) 4. I heard scafell peak hike would be good one ( c215 Scafell Pike from Seathwaite
, c172 Scafell Pike & Sty Head from Wasdale ) but do not know where I can find decent accommodation (start point) can you pls help me in this regard.

A. See The Best Walks in The Lake District and The Best Ridge Walks in The Lake District. Once you have decided which walk you want to do - have a look in Google for accommodation near the start.
Hope this helps
