Special Needs Walking Sat Nav System

Q. Hi: I'm 74 and lost most of my eyesight via a clot to my optic nerve. What I see is very restricted, but clear. IOW I can walk, read a watch, look down a straight road, etc., but I because of this lack of peripheral vision I get lost easily. Otherwise health is excellent. I am looking for GPS product that will allow me to take a walk (not hike) around the neighbourhood without getting lost. I walk and turn down several streets and lose my frame of reference so I need a unit that will show me the route back to my home visually or with audio enhancement. IOW something very similar to current vehicle satnav systems, but something I can carry or wear. Thank you. Don Watson
